Our Story

In 2006, In The Light Philadelphia emerged as a beacon of hope when Jamie returned to his hometown, driven by a passion for the city he loved. This community quickly became a refuge for the religiously wounded and societal outcasts, revealing to them the Father’s heart and the truth that they were “born for so much more.” Over the past decade, the church has transformed lives through salvation, healing, and deliverance. Today, In The Light continues to advance the kingdom of God by loving those far from Christ and equipping the church to manifest heaven on earth.

Welcome to In The Light, a non-denominational church where we’re all about community and connection. We’re linked up with The Net, a group of relationally connected churches, and Harvest International Ministry to keep us accountable and supportive. Come hang out with us as we grow together in faith and make difference!

Leadership

At our church, we've got an awesome executive board that helps keep us accountable offers some great advice. They work hand-in-hand with our leadership team, which includes our pastors and a fantastic group of volunteers. Together, we’re all about creating a welcoming community and serving our with heart and purpose.

Jamie & Virgy Centeno

Both our pastors have a heart to see families restored and whole. Jamie is a second generation pastor. He has worked with inner city youth and young adults with community not-for-profit organizations throughout his life. Jamie and his wife Virgy have received their Masters in Practical Ministry and Apostolic Leadership from Wagner University.

Jamie has authored several books including Heavolution, Milk & Honey, and Relationshift.
